Board a Voyageur canoe on Lake Nakatsuna to admire the Oyamazakura cherry blossoms, often featured in Nagano Prefecture brochures and Omachi City tourist posters, and search for the legendary Golden Bell. Oyamazakura bloom with deep pink flowers. Reflected by sunlight on the lake's surface, they are even more beautiful than the cherry blossoms on land. Take photos and post them on Instagram. The event will be canceled once the cherry blossoms have fallen. [Legend] Long ago, there was a temple called Jukokuji on the shores of Lake Nakatsuna. One year, a major earthquake caused a landslide, causing the temple to sink into the lake. The temple housed a large golden bell, which was also submerged in the lake. Many people subsequently attempted to lift the bell, but heavy rains prevented them from doing so. Anyone who attempted to lift it was always cursed. Even today, the sound of the bell can be heard from the bottom of the lake when the weather changes, and it is said that the golden bell can be clearly seen on the lake bottom when you board a boat on a clear day.
