Ginza/Tsukiji Reservation for Calligraphy experience | Activity Japan

This is an experiential tour where you will experience calligraphy, one of Japan's proud artistic cultures, and create two works of art. Each participant will receive a piece of work created by our instructor. Original and not a print. The type to display on your desk comes with a frame as shown in the photo. Larger types are available only in kind. You will practice how to hold a brush, basic vertical lines, horizontal lines, sweeps, dots, etc., and we will create two works of art that you can display in your home. One will be a large piece to hang on the wall, and one will be a small piece to hang on a desk or table. The instructor is a master calligrapher and professional calligrapher certified by the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, and the host of the calligraphy class. Please join us on this experiential tour where you can experience calligraphy, create your own work, and even get professional work. The venue will be a rental conference room near Higashi Ginza Station.

For calligraphy (making works with a brush), you choose your favorite characters, words, and typeface from several models such as kanji, kana, and waka. After practicing calligraphy styles and points, make a clean copy. Decorate with calligraphy glitter (*) as you like. *While drying the product developed exclusively for our atelier to decorate calligraphy, let's do the seal engraving (making a seal to engrave names and words). Our atelier is characterized by engraving on special soft rubber that can be handled easily and safely. For those who want to make a seal (stamped on the bottom left of the work), the instructor will propose a design based on your name in kanji or kana. Those who want to make a sign (stuffed on the top right of the work) will choose from several auspicious words. Why don't you experience Japanese traditional culture "calligraphy"? A 3-minute walk from Shimbashi Station and within walking distance from Ginza! The tools are prepared here, so you can come empty-handed. You can experience it even by yourself. Learn about kanji, the history of calligraphy, and tools, and try writing your favorite characters with a brush and ink. You can make a clean copy on colored paper and put it in a decorative box to take home. As an option, you can also make a clean copy on the fan. (Extra charge)
