Mysterious Lake MashuThis is a course where you can see Lake Mashu, Mt. Iou, and Lake Kussharo. Mysterious Lake Mashu is worth a visit. Misty Lake Mashu is also famous (as a song says), but on a clear day the blue of the sky is reflected on the lake's surface, creating a spectacular view. Only Mashu No. 1 Observation Deck is available during the winter. On the way to Lake Mashu, you can also get a feel for the vastness of Hokkaido at Tawadaira, where you can see the horizon in a large panorama. You can eat Genghis Khan at Tawadaira. This is a full-scale MTB tour that starts from the top of the caldera's outer rim of Lake Mashu and gently descends to Kaminoko Pond filled with emerald green water! First, we will climb from Kaminoko Pond to Uramashu Observatory by eMTB, but since it is equipped with an electric assist, let's climb while enjoying the scenery at a leisurely pace. It is a single track from Uramashu Observatory! There are some technical sections along the way, but the slope is gentle, so even beginners can enjoy it!

A snowshoe trek to Lake Mashu during the mid-winter season starting in the afternoon. A nature guide will take you to the Uramashu Observation Deck, which is closed during the winter. Would you like to go see the snow-covered Lake Mashu on snowshoes? Please meet at Kiyosato Ihatov Youth Hostel by 11:30 on the day of your participation. If you are coming by JR, please contact us. This is a half-day course with a gentle uphill slope. The course is reasonably priced, so even women can participate.
