Sake is becoming increasingly popular around the world, and Japan's traditional sake brewing method using rice koji has been registered as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. Some of the sake breweries around Mt. Takao are open for tours, and a guide will accompany you during the tour to explain the production and process of sake brewing.
