And it was a birthplace of the Kamakura shogunate known as the samurai regime. We are carrying out a SAMURAI Project to offer a Japanese cultural experience at the Kigen-in temple, usually not open to the public, located in the vicinity of JR Kita-Kamakura Station. In this program, you can visit the blacksmith workshop that is operated in Kamakura by direct descendant of legendary sword master Masamune. Also you can appreciate and actually hold a Japanese sword which is, at present, regarded as a fine masterpiece of Art. This program is conducted with Japanese only.
