After touring the stunning scenery and historical sites along the silvery old highway, head to the post town of Ouchi-juku. Experience Aizu, a place where history and nature breathe, with all five senses] The Shimotsuke Highway, an important road that connected Nikko and Aizu-Wakamatsu from the Edo period to the early Meiji period, is a snow trekking tour along the old highway, shrouded in deep snow, while wearing Japanese snowshoes and enjoying the same scenery as its predecessors. ■ Highlights of this Plan: The owner, a guide with 12 years of experience, will guide you through the historic sites of the old highway and the culture and nature of the snow country. Along the way, you'll enjoy spots with panoramic views of the Aizu Basin and Japan's longest mountain range, the Ou Mountains, as well as historical sites and fieldwork where you can see animal tracks. A pure white experience unique to this time of year awaits. After the tour, we'll head to Ouchijuku for traditional "walnut soba" at Kintaro Soba Yamamotoya, a renowned restaurant ranked #1 in Fukushima Prefecture soba for two consecutive years (Google reviews). The rich aroma of giant walnuts pairs exceptionally well with the handmade soba noodles. ■Lunch Menu: Ouchijuku's celebratory meal: Natural walnut soba (made with natural giant walnuts from Aizu), two seasonal appetizers, sashimi, konjac, and a soup mochi made with horse chestnut mochi. Walnut ice cream. *Vegan options available (please contact us in advance). ~Experience Schedule~ 9:00 AM Meeting and Transfer: Please use the restroom before meeting up. 9:10 AM Arrival at the start and preparation: Prepare your winter gear and snowshoes at the starting point. 9:15 AM Tour Start: Once you're ready, it's time to depart. 12:00 PM Finish: Transfer to a soba restaurant. It's lunchtime when we arrive at the finish line. Our appetites are starting to work up, so let's head to the soba restaurant. 12:10 Arrive at the soba restaurant. Once you arrive at the soba restaurant, you will say goodbye to your guide. After eating your soba, everyone will leave.

The guide will guide you at your own pace. Minamiaizu is a snowy region where Japan's original landscape still remains. In addition to snowshoes, you will also make snowshoes, so families with children can enjoy themselves. Let's take a walk into the snowy scenery. Participants from the age of 6 are welcome to participate.
