This is an experience program that includes a chartered bus tour of Sendai Station to visit earthquake-related facilities. The tour will take you on a bus tour of the Sendai Bay coast from Arai to Arahama to Sendai New Port, and will visit the current Sendai Bay coastline, nine years after the disaster. At the Sendai 3.11 Memorial Community Center and the former Arahama Elementary School, you will see permanent exhibits and hear about the situation at the time of the disaster, the road to recovery, and plans for future regional revitalization. You will learn how to pass on the memories of the town before the disaster, and see and feel the scenery. ■Jogi Nyorai Saihoji TempleMany worshippers visit this temple since ancient times as a Buddha who can grant even the greatest wish of a lifetime. It is said to be particularly beneficial for matchmaking, fertility, and safety, and it is customary to make a wish while receiving a prayer. The Tennozuka, where Emperor Antoku's belongings are said to have been buried, is also a power spot for matchmaking. ■Please try the legendary ohagi that sells 5,000 pieces a day, which can only be eaten at Housewife's Store Saichi Sendai! Three types are sold throughout the year: red bean paste, kinako, and sesame. This supermarket has a line of people waiting to eat ohagi even on weekdays. ■RaiRai GorgeA beautiful gorge with huge rocks and strange stones eroded by the Natori River looming over it. Looking down from the Nozokibashi bridge, you will see a naturally formed heart-shaped depression in the rock, which has been certified as a "sacred place for lovers," and is also a popular photo spot. ■Akiu Otaki Falls is a 6m wide, 55m high waterfall that has been selected as one of the "100 Best Waterfalls in Japan" and is also designated as a national scenic spot. You can see the whole waterfall from the viewing platform, or you can go down to the waterfall basin in about 5-10 minutes by descending the promenade from the side of Fudotaki Bridge. The waterfall's spray around the basin creates a mist that is very impressive. *The promenade to the basin is a steep slope. This plan will allow you to spend a calming night at Rinnoji Temple, which is associated with the Date clan, through a special vegetarian meal and Zen experience. You will visit the Japanese gardens of Rinnoji Temple, a representative photo spot in Sendai, and enjoy a private prayer and zazen experience. You will also be able to immerse yourself in Japanese culture while listening to stories about the history of the Date clan and Rinnoji Temple, as well as Zen culture. Zuihoden is a representative tourist spot in Sendai and the residence of Date Masamune, the samurai who built the foundation of Sendai. This private tour will be held at night, when it is usually closed to the public. Guided by the Oshu/Sendai Hospitality Group Date Busho-tai, you will walk through the illuminated approach to the temple and enjoy the gorgeous Zuihoden, which symbolizes Date culture, while unraveling the story of the Date clan in a fantastic space. On this tour, we will specially open the main hall of Zuihoden to the public. After viewing the main hall, we will play Japanese musical instruments in a solemn atmosphere, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the Japanese space. At the end of the tour, you will also receive a goshuin stamp from Zuihoden. In autumn, you can hear the sounds of insects amid the vivid autumn leaves, and in winter, you can enjoy the sparkling lights in the clear air.
