Experience Sendai like a local in its historic alleys lined with bars and restaurants. ​Sendai is known for its "yokocho" culture, with many hidden alleys near the main shopping streets. From traditional izakayas to modern restaurants, the alleys have it all. Course: Iroha Yokocho → Bunka Yokocho In this experience, you will first learn about the history, charm and sights of the alleys with your guide. Then, choose a restaurant for food and drinks with your local guide. You only pay for what you order. Your guide will provide interpretation, recommendations and conversation. This is a town walking experience where local girls introduce recommended shops in Sendai's downtown area, Kokubuncho, with a different theme and destination each time. At the destinations, you will sample special dishes while listening to the owner's stories, try alcohol that goes well with the food, and be introduced to shops unique to the local area.
