Ise Katagami, used in kimono stencil dyeing, is a traditional craft that has been passed down for over a thousand years in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture. Ise Katagami is created by artisans known as stencil carvers, who use chisels to carve intricate patterns and designs into durable paper made from processed washi paper. It's amazing how many more than 900 patterns can be carved into a single square stencil measuring approximately 3 cm. This time, we'll be using stencils carved by traditional craftsman Chiaki Imasaka to stencil dye postcards. Why not dye your postcards in your favorite colors, create your own original postcards, and send them to loved ones with a message? We also offer six designs featuring the horse, next year's zodiac sign. Send one to a loved one or to yourself as a memento of your trip to Tokyo.

私と12歳の息子が参加しました。　2人でとても時間をかけてゆっくりやらせてもらって、　出来上がりもとっても満足!簡単にできますが意外と集中してできちゃう感じです。お店もとても可愛くて店内にあるものも全部欲しくなっちゃうくらいでした。

Using the traditional craft "Ise Katagami", which has been passed down in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture for over 1000 years, the cloth is stencil-dyed. "Ise Katagami" is made by a craftsman called a stencil carver who carves intricate patterns and designs on durable Japanese paper with a carving knife. It is surprising that more than 900 patterns are carved into a one-inch square (about 3 cm) with fine details. Try it out and experience its delicacy and beauty. You can choose the cloth to be dyed from handkerchiefs, tea mats, and coasters.

友人と2人で体験してきました。お互い絵を描くことがあるので、割とすんなり塗れたかと思います。体験は簡単な説明をしていただいた後に、すぐに塗っていきましょうという形で、体験時間の約1時間はほんとんど塗ることに時間が使えました。塗りながら、たまにアドバイスを頂きあとは各々好きな風に塗らせて頂けてとても楽しかったです。教えて頂いた笠原様はとても優しい方で、銀魂がちょうど実写映画をしていたこともあり、映画の話や俳優さんの話、他のコラボの話をしたり絵についての話をしたりしながら体験できて最中の雰囲気もとても穏やかで心地よかったです。最後に本物の友禅の塗りを少しさせていただいて、今回は銀魂のハンカチが作れるということで体験しましたが、銀魂がわからなくても絵を描くのが好きな人は楽しめる体験だと思います。また、今回体験日の変更などがあったのですがスムーズに対応していただいて、大変ありがたかったです。この度は楽しい時間をありがとうございます。友人とも大変良い思い出を作ることができました。また機会があったら是非体験したいと思います。
