This area is a cold region with a lot of snow. When there is a lot of snow, the snow acts as a cold protection and true ice does not form. Snow and ice form, but they cannot support the weight of a human. The hours for hole fishing at Lake Nakatsuna are 7:00-16:00 (2025 is undecided). We accept hole fishing by request reservation from February 5th to February 16th, 2025, but please note that hole fishing may not be possible.
