This tour takes you through Lake Tofutsu from the water in a kayak with a registered guide knowledgeable about the conservation of the lake. (*In Lake Tofutsu, the general public cannot use water such as kayaking.) The tour period is three months from June to August, when it is assumed that kayaking and other activities will have the least impact on wild birds. . Before boarding a kayak, participants will learn simple preliminary knowledge through videos and lectures at the Lake Tofutsu Waterfowl and Wetland Center (Ministry of the Environment) before heading out on the water. In order to monitor the ecosystem from the water, the guide will keep records of the appearance of wild birds and aquatic plants during the tour, so participants will also be asked to cooperate.
