It is surprising that more than 900 patterns are carved into a single inch (approximately 3cm) corner using a very fine piece of material. Japanese binding is a traditional Japanese bookbinding technique that uses high-quality Japanese paper and linen thread, and has been passed down since the Heian period (794). 婚約者とお互いのクリスマスプレゼントとして体験しました。作ったその日に持ち帰れますし、お互い集中していて話が途切れても間が持ちます。切り出すシルバーの板が小さいのと、刃物を扱うので、大人向け。2時間で完成予定でしたが、切り出しに時間がかかって延長になりましたが、嫌な顔をせずに「頑張ってますね」「いい感じです」と励ましてくださり、先生には感謝です。終わった後に、飾ってある様々な作品を見ていると説明してくださったりと、また他の体験もしてみたいなと思いました。とても楽しい思い出になりました。ありがとうございました。
