Great activity to take while you are in Kyoto. It was held in a cozy local florist's shop. It takes about 30 minutes and the guide was really good to take me slowly through the different steps of making a really nice kokedama ball and I was able to pick a plant of couple of options. Eventually she also have me some tips on how to make and care for kokedama at home. I recommend this activity to anyone staying in Kyoto that want to learn this art.

Next, you will make your own original lacquered chopsticks at the place where the craftsmen actually work. Think about the design of the chopsticks and paint them with real lacquer.
