"Studio Seikan" is a facility with a workshop, shop and cafe, where you can visit the manufacturing site of Yamanaka lacquerware, experience woodturning, shop, and enjoy cafe and sweets with lacquerware. This course includes a workshop tour (with explanation) - making a vase - lacquerware experience at the cafe (one drink included). Lacquerware craftsmen work here every day. In this experience, you can observe them up close and learn about lacquerware production. The staff will explain it in an easy-to-understand way. Next, you will make your own original lacquered chopsticks at the place where the craftsmen actually work. Think about the design of the chopsticks and paint them with real lacquer. You can experience authentic lacquer painting. The lacquer craftsmen will teach you carefully, so you can make them yourself until they are completed. You will surely be satisfied. It's fun. After that, you can enjoy drinks made with lacquerware at the cafe and taste sweets. Please relax and enjoy the lacquerware experience. Using the traditional craft "Ise Katagami", which has been passed down in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture for over 1000 years, the cloth is stencil-dyed. "Ise Katagami" is made by a craftsman called a stencil carver who carves intricate patterns and designs on durable Japanese paper with a carving knife. It is surprising that more than 900 patterns are carved into a one-inch square (about 3 cm) with fine details. Try it out and experience its delicacy and beauty. You can choose the cloth to be dyed from handkerchiefs, tea mats, and coasters.

Works made with "Art Clay Silver ST" are resistant to tarnishing, and can be easily maintained to retain the original beauty and brilliance of silver for a long time. The silver surface after firing is fine, and the silver product is finished with a purity of 99% or more. *ST stands for Slow Tarnish. This is because water adhering to the surface of silver combines with sulfur components in the air to form silver sulfide. This silver sulfide film is the cause of the discoloration to dark brown or black. The premium course is a special menu using Art Clay Silver ST. The crafting time will take longer than the normal experience. It takes 3 to 4 hours. (If there are many participants, depending on the design, the production time may be longer.
