A lacquer workshop in Maejima, Naha City, offers a "simple gold lacquer" experience class for tourists and those who want to try gold lacquering even though they don't have much time. This class incorporates traditional gold lacquering techniques, but is a shortened version that anyone can easily enjoy. You can have a unique experience of repairing broken vessels and broken items using the gold lacquering technique and breathing new life into them. "Simple gold lacquer" is perfect for travelers with limited time, and even beginners can participate with confidence. By decorating the broken parts as "scenery", you can create original works full of individuality. Enjoy a sushi-making experience tour at the Makishi Public Market, a tourist attraction near Kokusai Street in Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture. Visit the market where Okinawan fresh fish that will become the "toppings" of sushi are purchased, and learn how to make sushi from the instructor.
