Zuko is a powdered incense that monks apply on their palms as a purifying scent in Buddhism. Among the Japanese scents that are used by transferring the scent to something, it is the only one that can be applied directly to the body. In ancient times, people used to collect the first morning dew that had accumulated on lotus leaves, mix sandalwood with the water, and apply it to their bodies. Unlike liquid scents, it is a powder type, so it has low volatility and does not easily diffuse into the surrounding area, making it a convenient scent that can be used without being noticed by those around you. Recommended for relaxing between work. You can relax and experience Japanese life with your family and friends in a tatami room. First, we will give a brief explanation about calligraphy and tools. Next, you will practice the basic lines of calligraphy on a half-sized piece of paper. After that, you will practice your favorite characters while looking at the model. We have prepared some kanji that are popular with foreigners as models, but if there is a character you want to write, please let the instructor know. Finally, you will create two works using one colored paper and one small colored paper or postcard of your choice. Casually! Fun! This is a program where you can experience the traditional Japanese culture of "martial arts" and "kendo"! The theme of the experience program is "Senshin", which means to remove the dirt and bad feelings from your mind and have a pure heart. Based on that theme, we have five programs such as "listen", "touch", "do", "watch" and "interact" that allow you to experience the spirit of martial arts and traditional Japanese culture through kendo. You will hear about the history of kendo, touch and wear kendo equipment, and actually do some striking.
