We are offering an experience activity in Ikebukuro (Tokyo) where you can take a manga lesson (with English interpretation) from a professional manga artist.
In this activity, lessons will be given directly by a professional Japanese manga artist. Even if you are a beginner and have never drawn manga before, you can rest assured. You will be carefully taught from the basics, such as how to draw characters, how to divide frames, and how to add facial expressions. Since you will receive advice tailored to each individual, even those who are not good at drawing can participate and have fun. In addition, all tools will be provided, so you can participate empty-handed.
We will hold a workshop where participants will introduce their experiences during their trip to Japan or their own country's culture through four-panel comic strips. This content can be enjoyed by both adults and children. Many people participate with their families, siblings, or friends.
Learn how to create cute deformed characters. Look at the sample and combine the parts to create your own original character.
He has been active as a manga artist for over 25 years, and has taught children in over 100 countries, including at Polymanga in Switzerland and at the University of Illinois in the U.S.A. He also has strengths in intercultural communication, thanks to his experience in dealing with a wide variety of students both in Japan and overseas, and has taught people of a wide range of ages and occupations through manga workshops for inbound tourists and online education.
