Let's have a walk through one of the oldest villages on Iriomote island, Sonai village, and its historical places including a traditional Okinawan house and a shrine. , I will introduce you to the history and religion of Iriomote island.I will share many stories about local people's way of living and worship.Iriomote is not only beautiful nature.A secret tradition is still alive that most tourists are not aware of.First Next, visit a traditional wooden house, and learn about its construction and the rituals held inside. We will see a very old well, a previous village location, hear its story, and learn about religious festivals. On the way, I will teach you about edible plants.
