A fishing line is hung from a hole made in the thickly frozen river surface to aim at the smelt swarming under the ice. You can enjoy the caught smelt as a tasting such as tempura and fried chicken. We use a farmer's home-made house, so we have perfect protection against the cold. On the day of the event, a free shuttle car is operated from the center of Sapporo city, making it convenient for round trips. If you are lucky, you may see red foxes, white-tailed eagles, and tundra swans. Why do not you experience a day to enjoy the special nature?
