Nokogiriyama is known as a lesser known mountain on the Boso Peninsula. With its jagged ridgeline resembling the teeth of a saw, and the remains of the quarry where Boso stone was quarried by the stone-cutting industry until the Showa era, it looks like an abandoned building, and this otherworldly space that appears in the middle of nature has become popular. On this tour, you will pass through the streets of Kanaya, which once flourished as a stone-cutting industry, and climb the "Sharikko Road," a road that once transported quarried stone, with a guide. While enjoying the climb, which is low above sea level but has a large elevation difference, you will feel the breath of the craftsmen of the time, and trace the history of how Boso stone supported Japan's modernization and declined over time.

Nokogiriyama is known as a low-profile mountain on the Boso Peninsula. On its southern side is the grounds of Nippon-ji Temple, the imperial temple of Emperor Shomu, which will celebrate its 1,300th anniversary in 2025. This plan is a half-day tour to experience the charms of Nokogiriyama Nippon-ji Temple, starting from JR Yasuda Station, walking along the main approach to the temple and climbing Nokogiriyama from the mountain gate. There are various rules for watching sumo training, and if you watch alone, you will often be warned by officials and wrestlers, and in the worst case, you may be forced to leave. At "Sumo Pro", we will accompany you with a guide who is familiar with sumo. In order not to make you feel uneasy, we will enter between the sumo stable and the customer, so you can watch with peace of mind. In addition, a dedicated guide will provide explanations in writing during the training. Although it is strict, you may get bored just by watching the monotonous training, but we will explain in detail what they are doing and what they are talking about. Unlike other companies, it is not a tour that just lets you watch. We have planned it with the aim of making it fun for customers to understand "sumo". We hope you will use it. *Normally, private conversations are strictly prohibited during training observations, but our interpreters will communicate in writing (in English) to answer questions from customers, such as explanations of the current training content, conversations between the masters, explanations of matches, and questions from customers.
