You will spend a whole day making a small scale attached to the Japanese sword. The material is the same as the Japanese sword, and the world's highest grade iron (tamahagane) is used. You can make a soil holder by yourself and insert a blade crest. Attach the blade, cut your name on it, make a scabbard, and sharpen it to complete it. Only at our studio can you experience making a small pattern and sharpening it. You will learn how to make a Japanese sword while working, and you will not know until you experience the work of striking iron to change its shape and create ripples, so I think it will be a great learning experience. We will proceed according to the ability of the person who will experience it, so there is no need to worry about minors and women. Photos and videos can be taken during production! The fee will be the experience fee for one petite. Two or more people can make one. In that case, please let us know when you make a reservation.

A swordsmith will teach you how to make Japanese knives using blacksmith techniques. Using the same material as Japanese swords, Tamahagane, the forged iron is shaped with a hammer. You can make your own clay holder and add a blade crest. Attach the blade, cut your name on it, and sharpen it to complete it. Although it is a physically demanding job, the swordsmith will be happy to assist you, so don't worry if you are not confident in doing the heavy lifting, such as children or women. You can take photos and videos while working! The trial fee is for one Japanese knife. You can also make one book for two or more people. Iron is a human invention. People have walked with iron, as it is said, "Whoever controls iron controls the world." A Japanese sword cannot be made good unless it is made of iron using the traditional ironmaking method. With this plan, you can experience making iron from iron sand using the traditional iron-making method. Repeat the work of cutting charcoal into small pieces and adding iron sand to determine the "steel" part from the finished lump "kera". You can take the finished product home with you. ★We have someone here who can explain things in English, so you don't need an interpreter.

Japanese swords are iron works of art. By listening to the explanation of the production process of the works of art that have been handed down from ancient times, you will be able to understand the highlights of swords and the points of appreciation. In addition, you can observe the training process (stretching, bending, and attaching steel), which is one of the processes of making Japanese swords. Please take a picture of the place where the spark sparks. The moment the spark scatters is an instant. Sometimes it is difficult to show the process again, so please do not miss it. We recommend the video. In addition, you can also experience the Ozuchi, which strikes iron. We also accept questions such as why Japanese swords are so hard and strong, and why there is a difference in price! If you apply for the "Knife making experience", you can apply at the same time for half price. Please apply from the option of "Knife making experience".

No sewing required! Make a pouch with Kamogawa Maiwai-zome fabric! Why not make a pouch with Maiwai-zome fabric, a traditional dye from the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture? The auspicious Maiwai-zome pouch is perfect for festival season! It can be made with the know-how of cokoworks No Sew Clasp (R), which does not require needles or thread, so anyone can make it easily. ★The fabric was dyed by Kamogawa Maiwai-zome Suzuzome! Maiwai is the formal attire worn by fishermen. The back and hem of the indigo-dyed long kimono or hanten are boldly and vividly dyed with auspicious motifs such as cranes and turtles, or designs of fish caught in the area. In the past, they were given to boatmen by shipowners when celebrating a good catch. Nowadays, they are worn as festival hanten by festival lovers all over the country. For this workshop, Kamogawa Maiwai-zome Suzuzome prepared the dyed fabric. Why not paint papier-mâché, a lucky charm, with an original design at Asakusa's popular Japanese culture experience cafe? Papier-mâché is a piece of paper made from a frame made of wood or other materials and covered with Japanese paper. It originally originated in China, but is said to have come to Japan during the Heian period. They come in many shapes, but many are in the shape of animals, and they have come to be valued as lucky charms. First, choose the plain body of your choice. Once you have decided on the body, use your imagination and color your ideas with paint. The staff will support you, so even beginners can enjoy creating. Papier mache is hollow and very light, so it is very popular as a souvenir from travel. [Selectable Body Types] ▶Daruma The ``Daruma'' has been valued as a talisman and auspicious item since ancient times because of its rounded shape, which means that it can get back up again and again even if it falls down. Papier-mâché daruma dolls have the meaning of warding off evil spirits, family harmony, and having wishes come true, so they are used for general wishes such as prosperous business and sure victory. ▶Maneki Neko Cats were used as lucky charms for sericulture in ancient times, as they exterminated rats that ate crops and silkworms, but after sericulture declined, they became a lucky charm for business prosperity. There is a theory that beckoning cats were originally made using a pottery method called Imado ware, which was produced around Imado Town in Asakusa. *Contains opinions▶ Fox masks Fox masks are used in Nohgaku (general term for Noh and Kyogen) and Kagura (dances and songs performed to worship gods). At Inari shrines, they are often considered to be auspicious objects, as if they are enshrined as messengers of the gods. Additionally, the fox mask is said to bring blessings such as a rich harvest, prosperous business, and safety for the family. *Depending on stock availability, we may not be able to provide the body you desire.
Had a great time painting a daruma! It was very strait-forward and they offered many different options (watercolors, acrylics, markers, ect). Location is nice too right by Asakusa.
