In 1868, the clan declined the invitation from the Meiji Government and became independent. We are the only lasting shinobi clan in Japan. We invite you to come to our clan dojo where real master practitioner and professional interpreters take charge of all workshops and seminars. This is good for people who want to get a deeper insight into our ninja and samurai cultures . We still handcraft our tools and weapons. This is an experiential tour where you will experience calligraphy, one of Japan's proud artistic cultures, and create two works of art. Each participant will receive a piece of work created by our instructor. Original and not a print. The type to display on your desk comes with a frame as shown in the photo. Larger types are available only in kind. You will practice how to hold a brush, basic vertical lines, horizontal lines, sweeps, dots, etc., and we will create two works of art that you can display in your home. One will be a large piece to hang on the wall, and one will be a small piece to hang on a desk or table. The instructor is a master calligrapher and professional calligrapher certified by the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, and the host of the calligraphy class.
