Why not experience Japanese culture and create some memorable memories from your trip? Learn calligraphy by writing your name (we'll help you write it in kanji), your motto, your favorite phrase, or the name of an anime character. Beginners are welcome. We'll teach you how to use the brush. Calm your mind and listen to the sound of the brush flowing. Calligraphy will be done in the traditional Japanese seiza position. *If you prefer to sit in a chair, please let us know when you make your reservation. Enjoy practicing on calligraphy paper, then finalizing your calligraphy on colored paper or a folding fan, and origami! ~Experience Schedule~ 1. Plan explanation: Decide on the kanji you want to write while looking at the sample (5 minutes). 2. If a sample isn't available, we'll create one (5 minutes). 3. Start practicing on calligraphy paper (20 minutes). Practice freely on the characters you want to write. Even if you're a beginner, you can practice freely and have fun writing as many sheets as you like. ④ A lecture before finishing your final piece, explaining key points to keep in mind, and a final copy (10 minutes). ⑤ Origami experience (10 minutes). Choose your favorite chiyogami paper and fold your favorite origami piece (lecture included). Attach it to the calligraphy paper and complete your piece. ⑥ A commemorative photo (10 minutes). The time is just a guideline. Even beginners can feel at ease. Start by practicing slowly on the calligraphy paper. Write with your heart while following the example. Create a colored paper piece to take home as a souvenir or a treat for yourself or someone special.
