Central Hokkaido in Calligraphy experience

Why not try writing characters with all your heart and soul using a large brush held in both hands, like the ones you only see on TV and in magazines? The characters you create as you run around barefoot on a piece of paper bigger than a tatami mat will be a lifelong memory! The instructor, calligrapher Mikami, has a father and mother who are also calligraphers, and has been familiar with calligraphy since childhood. Mikami is very creative and energetic. Not satisfied with ordinary calligraphy paper, he runs around freely on the large calligraphy paper with a large brush held in both hands, and the characters he creates with his whole body are soon becoming a specialty of Naganuma Town. He also performs at Naganuma Town's summer festival and sunset market, and sometimes collaborates with local musicians. This program was created not only to show people this fun, but also to let them experience it. Participants are first surprised by the weight of the brush filled with ink, and are very satisfied with the characters they write with all their heart, sweating. The written characters take time to dry, and there are limitations on where you can hang them. You may only be asked to take a photo in front of the work. If you would like to take the work home with you, please contact us in advance, although we may not be able to accommodate your request.

Practice your original calligraphy, write your favorite characters on a T-shirt, and add a red seal-style stamp. The instructor, Satoko, is a cheerful and powerful calligrapher. She is a real calligrapher who has exhibited at numerous exhibitions, but she is a wonderful person (and a big eater) who is not at all pretentious. She is a popular big sister in Naganuma! Your T-shirt is sure to become one of your favorites!
