The Watatsu River is a first-class river with a length of 14.2 kilometers that originates in Kamiwatatsu, Kitahiroshima City, and flows into the Chitose River. The town of Kitahiroshima began in 1884 when 25 households and 103 people who moved from Hiroshima Prefecture settled along this river. [Standard course] The journey is about 5.5 kilometers from the meeting point, Daiichi Usakumai Bridge, to under the highway overpass.
