This is a snowshoe tour that takes you to the hidden spots of Lake Shikotsu, the northernmost frozen lake in Japan near Sapporo. We provide free transportation to and from Sapporo Station. Walk along the waterfront of Lake Shikotsu, which can only be walked in winter, and enter the winter forest. Aim for the moss corridor. You can fully feel the mystical space of the winter forest and the green corridor covered with moss all over the walls. This tour is recommended for those who want to have a different snowshoeing experience or want to make their snowshoeing debut. The Chitosegawa River, which flows through Lake Shikotsu with the highest transparency in Japan starting at Kitafuredake, and flows into the Sea of Japan, is one of the most beautiful rivers in Hokkaido where birds such as kingfishers and rockfish can be seen swimming in various sizes. At the beginning of summer, you can also see the plum blossom algae (Biwamo) that can only be seen in the clear stream. As it is near from Chitose Airport, access is outstanding!

The Hyoto Ice Museum Festival, one of Hokkaido's three major winter festivals, is held from late January to mid-February.
