On the day, please gather at the meeting place, rent waders (30 sets in stock, free of charge, from 15cm to 28cm), put on gloves, turn over stones, and catch fish and crayfish. Please bring a marine scrub, as it is required from spring, the end of March to autumn and the end of October. During the cold water period from winter to spring, they do not move, so you can catch them with your bare hands. The main targets for capture are turtles, frogs, catfish, mitten crabs, striped shrimp, Yamato swamp shrimp, American crayfish, Ukigoi, Chichibu, loach, Moroko, Motsugo, Japanese river snail, Taiwanese clam, dragonfly nymph, and river insects. Many creatures live behind the stones and many hide underneath, so turn over a lot of stones to see them. It is easier to catch them in the winter observation session. This will be an experience tour where you will use a hammer to break down fallen trees that you have captured in your local forest and your own garden to search for adult (hibernating) stag beetles and larvae. As there is a limit to the number of rotten trees, we will be holding individual events for each family, and depending on the number of rotten trees we have in stock, we will be able to accommodate your request, so we look forward to hearing from you. The trapping time is one hour in your home's garden, followed by explanation, splitting the fallen wood, and searching for fallen wood in the nearby forest (near Fuchu and Chofu). Thank you.

The second most popular tour is the upstream tour. You can encounter beautiful aquatic creatures in the spring water upstream. This is a bicycle tour around rice fields, spring water points, and upstream. Please note that this tour is limited to electric three-seater bicycles, so only those who can ride a bicycle can participate. The targets are river crabs, loaches, crayfish, four types of dragonfly nymphs, mitten crabs, chichibu, minnows, moroko, and carp. (Shallow points only) Gather at the meeting point, use the toilet, and use insect repellent, then start cycling. Please wear a helmet and drive safely. This tour involves cycling around the spring water repeatedly. Since the tour is aimed at shallow waters, it is a safe point for small children, and although exploration requires a little skill, it is a tour to explore the source of the hidden area, so you can make summer memories with your family, learn about the creatures while enjoying the constant temperature spring water, which is cool in summer and warm in winter, and then go home.
