Sake was designated a UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2024. Its unique production method, involving simultaneous fermentation of yeast and koji, produces fragrant sake from rice. ◆Schedule and Content ① At the newly opened Fujio Sake Shop on September 5th, you will sample three unique sake varieties. You can take home your favorite bottle (4-cup bottle). The three varieties will change daily. Approximately 30 minutes ② We will move to Kujo Tokyo and take a mini lecture on how sake is made using a large screen. Afterwards, enjoy a glass of sake and a dish. Approximately 30 minutes ③ We will move to a nearby restaurant for dinner with sake. Examples include monjayaki, ochazuke, soba, udon, grilled rice balls, and pressed sushi, which vary depending on the day. It's a common thing, but in today's world where eating meat is a given, the concept that meat = life tends to become weak. By dissect it with your own hands, you can learn about the process of turning a living creature into meat. As a way to educate children about food and as a stepping stone for those aiming to obtain a hunting license, you will dissect and cook while thinking about "life". This is a tour of a Japanese sake brewery departing from Mt. Takao. Sake is becoming increasingly popular around the world, and Japan's traditional sake brewing method using rice koji has been registered as an intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO. Some of the sake breweries around Mt. Takao are open for tours, and a guide will accompany you during the tour to explain the production and process of sake brewing. You can also sample the sake after the tour. The tour is easy, as you will travel to the brewery in a car driven by the guide. Please join us before or after hiking Mt. Takao!

We start by splitting real bamboo and making a platform for nagashi somen! We harvest the vegetables to be cooked in the pesticide-free vegetable field and cook them together. The menu is vegetarian (vegan). Enjoy freshly picked seasonal vegetables. Nagashi somen is an experience where you neatly assemble split bamboo and eat the noodles that flow under water. The nagashi somen platform made from real bamboo is very beautiful, fun and a wonderful experience. After the meal, you can also try your hand at bamboo crafts if you wish.
