Japanese binding is a traditional Japanese bookbinding technique that uses high-quality Japanese paper and linen thread, and has been passed down since the Heian period (794). In the workshop, we will start with ``Japanese paper dyeing'', which involves adding color to Japanese paper to create the cover of a notebook. ①Make the cover of your notebook by coloring Japanese paper. You can either fold the washi paper and dye it in color, or use a paper pattern to dye it. ② Applying the Japanese binding technique, assemble the inside of the notebook (*) and the cover of the notebook with embroidery thread. Children are welcome to participate! Choose your favorite material and make a one-of-a-kind reversible basket bag. We also accept custom orders for the same price. You can choose your favorite combination of carefully selected materials such as domestic leather, Italian leather, suede, Linton, famous for Chanel tweed, and Oshu tweed for your rattan basket bag. You can hand-sew leather to the handles and tags, or combine it with your favorite fringe ribbons and fur to create an original basket bag that is one of a kind in the world.
