The Tazawako Highlands Snow Festival is packed with fun events for both adults and children, featuring snow sculptures created by snow sculptors and art university students. One of these events is the "Mini Paper Balloon Raising Experience," where participants will launch mini paper balloons bearing wishes into the starry sky! The balloons are covered in washi paper and filled with helium gas. LED bulbs are used instead of fire, making the experience extremely safe. You can take the paper balloons home with you on the day. This experience plan allows you to tour the Tazawako Beer factory, which was founded in 1997 as Akita Prefecture's first local beer, and listen to an explanation of the manufacturing process. You can also take home a "globally recognized taste" that has won awards every year at numerous international beer competitions, including the European Beer Star Gold Award. You can choose two types of Tazawako Beer as souvenirs. Please note that access to the factory is currently being limited to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

This is a drama woven around catchphrases that people wish would disappear and Akita dialect that must not be erased. The theater is also hosting special events, such as a rice cake pounding experience (with free food) and a welcome with music and lion dance! Yuzo Okamura, a longtime actor with the Warabiza theater, celebrates his 50th anniversary this year. Nicknamed "Tori-san" (Tori-san) for his skill at imitating the sound of a rooster, Okamura has pioneered Warabiza musicals, supporting numerous productions since starring in the theater's first musical, "Oga no Onimaru." He is currently active in television commercials, narration, and dramas. He recently appeared in the NHK historical drama "Berabou." Born in November 1950, three months before the founding of Warabiza, he has grown older alongside the theater. Enjoy his singing voice and conversations alongside delicious food and Lake Tazawa beer at Yupopo. Special guests with whom he has performed many times will also make appearances! There will also be a segment where you can dance along to "Donpan Bushi," a nationally renowned folk song from Akita Prefecture. Enjoy this special, one-night-only experience.
