In the Zashiki Warashi no Iru Sato workshop, we display and sell works by the owner, who has been making pottery for about 30 years, as well as works by fellow kilns. There are many things that you won't find anywhere else. We have a wood-fired kiln (anagama) in Higashiyama, Nakano City, next to Obuse, and we fire it twice a year (June and December). You can freely visit the kiln while it is firing.

It is used for a wide range of purposes such as art, sculpture, furniture, accessories, and architecture as a resin that is safe for the human body and the environment. Unlike resin, it has almost no glossiness that is typical of plastic, and is characterized by a calm texture like stone. The jesmonite you create can be used daily as an accessory tray, candle tray, aroma tray, small item holder, etc. [Notes] - It hardens in about 1 hour after pouring into the mold, but it takes about 24 hours to completely harden.
