Before searching for coconut crabs, we will start by searching for creatures in the jungle. In the jungle, you may see nocturnal creatures unique to Yaeyama. You may have a chance to encounter snakes such as the viper, the Yaeyama scorpion, one of only two species of scorpion in Japan, the scorpion-like imitation, the agile Sakishima tree lizard and Sakishima grass lizard, Yaeyama's endemic frogs, and even the Ryukyu wild boar and Yaeyama flying fox!
