"Ise Katagami" is used for dyeing kimonos. It is a traditional craft technique that has been passed down in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture for over a thousand years. ``Ise Katagami'' is made by a craftsman called a katagami, who uses a chisel to carve intricate patterns and designs onto durable Japanese paper. It is surprising that more than 900 patterns are carved into a single inch (approximately 3cm) corner using a very fine piece of material. This time, we will be dyeing postcards using a pattern carved by Chiaki Imazaka, a traditional craftsman. Why not dye it in your favorite color, create an original postcard, and send it to your loved ones with a message? We also have 6 different designs of this year's zodiac signs, ``Dragon'' and ``Seahorse.'' We recommend sending it to a loved one or to yourself as a memento of your trip to Tokyo.

Would you like to try dancing the mysterious and beautiful shrine maiden dance? Shrine maiden dance is passed down from generation to generation by shrine maidens at shrines. Shrine maiden dance is often performed at Shinto rituals and Shinto ceremonies, so I think many people have never seen it. Originally, it was said that the gods would descend to the shrine maiden who was dancing the shrine maiden dance and give them divine guidance. In other words, by dancing the shrine maiden dance, you can become one with the gods and nature. Shrine maiden dance is filled with the "feeling of respect for the gods" and "beautiful manners" that have been cherished by ancient Japanese people. For both Japanese and foreigners, it will be an opportunity to experience Japan's beautiful culture and learn about the spirituality that Japanese people have cherished. "Why do people find shrine maiden dance beautiful?" We will also look into the secret of its beauty. In this experience, a former professional shrine maiden instructor will carefully teach you the basics of shrine maiden dance. First, after changing into a shrine maiden costume, you will watch a shrine maiden dance performance by the instructor. Learn about the origin and history of shrine maiden dance and the dance, and actually dance to the solemn tunes of Kagura. First, imagine the kanji you want to write and the scenery (picture) that inspires you. If you can't decide on an idea, creative calligrapher Koji Takano will support you. Once you have decided on an idea, use ink and paint to practice color flow and composition. Finally, write it down on a colored paper or fan for the actual performance, and your own art book will be completed. In addition, you will receive your own original art book by creative calligrapher Koji Takano! Why not enjoy traveling with us through the infinite and free world of art calligraphy?
