AGES BASE is located in the "Okinawa Craft Forest", about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport. Okinawan wood is turned into an original pen & keychain! Why not experience the fun of "craftsmanship"? You can also choose different experiences for each group! ⚫︎Pen making and polishing experience (time required: about 60 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden pen with sandpaper. Each time you polish it, the wood surface becomes smoother and you can create your own original pen while enjoying the changes in the beauty of the wood grain. ⚫︎Pen making and carving experience (time required: about 120 to 180 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to carve the shaft of a wooden pen with a bit (blade) into your favorite shape. Make a completely original pen while enjoying the beauty of the wood grain. ⚫︎Keychain polishing experience (time required: about 40 minutes) Use a woodworking lathe to polish the shaft of a wooden keychain with sandpaper. Each time you polish it, the wood surface becomes smoother, and you can enjoy the changes in the beauty of the wood grain as you create your own original keychain. ⚫︎Pen & Keychain (Time required: approx. 120-180 minutes) You will create a total of two items, a wooden pen and a keychain, using the same wood. The wooden pen's shaft is carved into the desired shape using a cutting tool, and then polished to finish. The keychain is polished to finish.

Up to 15 people can experience the experience in the workshop. When you enter the room, the scent of wood will fill the air... that alone will relax your mind! You can choose from three types of key chains and create up to two! Draw your own illustration to match the size of the material. Give the illustration you drew to the staff, who will import it into a computer and output it to a laser processing engraving machine for engraving. Draw a rough sketch with a pencil, make it thicker with a marker, and engrave it with a laser engraving machine to transform it into an original item! Your child's drawings and letters can be engraved as they are, so it will also be a commemorative item of their growth! 元学校だったという広々としたところで、ゆったりと羊毛フエルトでのぬいぐるみ作りを教えていただきました。 8歳の娘も集中して作ることが出来、ぬいぐるみ作りが終わったあともたくさんいるひつじさん達を見て家族でとても癒されました。ぬいぐるみを作りながらひつじのいろいろなことも教えていただき、自然の中でとっても楽しい時間を過ごすことができました！またぜひ伺いたいと思います。

After stripping the bark from the tree, Uetsu Shina cloth is made entirely by hand, going through 22 processes over 365 days. The experience of using this precious Shina is unique to this area. Because each strand is a natural fiber with a different expression, it can be made into unique and attractive charms and earrings. It is also nice that the venue is the footbath cafe Chitto Moche, within walking distance of the inn at Atsumi Onsen. After making it, enjoy a relaxing tea time.
