In this program, you will not only get to try some of the very best Japanese teas there is but also learn about their differences, histories, and cultural significance from our trained tea instructors. As part of the course, they will prepare for you three of our most popular varieties – including the “Gyokuro” tea, known for its elegant flavor. In addition, traditional sweets known as Wagashi, which complement the different teas, will also be served.As with all our in-house cultural sessions, this program will take place in our state-of-the-art Grand TJT cultural experiences room.

You can enjoy it at the mobile artistic tea room "Uronan" (Ikusaku Watanabe) or at the outdoor tea ceremony room. The garden is surrounded by the greenery of the mountains, and there are ruins of caves and shrines, and from the hill you can see the sea of Kamakura, allowing you to experience the fusion of the sea and mountains of Kamakura. ■Kamakura, the birthplace of the tea ceremony Tea began when the Zen monk Eisai brought it to Kamakura. Kamakura has the largest number of beautiful celadon tea bowls from that time discovered in Japan.
