[Enjoy the taste of the local area] "Anbo" is a steamed dumpling wrapped with nozawana and red bean paste in a rice flour skin. It was eaten as a staple food and snack as a local dish in the Chuetsu region of Niigata Prefecture and the northern part of Nagano Prefecture. It is said to have originated from processing waste rice in the old days, and is a part of Japan's mottainai culture. Now, "Uonuma Koshihikari" is used to make delicious "Ambo". Even if it's your first time, you don't have to worry because we will make it together with the help of local mothers. If you have difficulty with Japanese, please contact us as we can prepare an interpreter (for a fee).
