Visit Kimono Rental Shop Yui, a 4-minute walk from Asakusa Station and a 2-minute walk from Kaminarimon. Choose from a wide range of kimonos and summer yukatas suitable for various occasions. Once you're dressed, our staff will provide you with a hairstyle and colorful accessories that suit you. Footwear (Japanese wooden sandals, geta) and a traditional handbag complete the dressing experience. Kimono Rental Shop Yui offers a wide range of kimonos, from easy-to-wear light kimonos for walking around the city to traditionally made silk kimonos for formal occasions. The owner is a trained tea ceremony artist and will complement the experience with a short lesson on how to drink matcha tea according to Japanese tradition. For the rest of the day, feel free to wander the beautiful streets of the Asakusa district at your own pace until 5:30 PM, when you will return your kimono. Would you like to make your own original washi notebook? Japanese binding is a traditional Japanese bookbinding technique that uses high-quality Japanese paper and linen thread, and has been passed down since the Heian period (794). In the workshop, we will start with ``Japanese paper dyeing'', which involves adding color to Japanese paper to create the cover of a notebook. ①Make the cover of your notebook by coloring Japanese paper. You can either fold the washi paper and dye it in color, or use a paper pattern to dye it. ② Applying the Japanese binding technique, assemble the inside of the notebook (*) and the cover of the notebook with embroidery thread. The size of the notebook is A6 (105 x 148.5 mm). Your one and only Japanese-bound notebook will be completed. At the end, we will serve Japanese sweets along with "Japanese paper tea" that is not available anywhere else! Learn basic washi ink techniques and washi paper cutting, and create your own original washi art work (one postcard and A5 size washi art). Washi ink is an original design tool.
