A private trekking tour with a guide around the sights of Mt. Nokogiri, a lesser-known mountain on the Boso Peninsula. This is a special tour that allows you to enjoy the sights of Mt. Nokogiri, a unique mountain where the remains of the stone-cutting industry that supported the region and the Buddhist world of Nihon-ji Temple are back to back, all in one day! We start by walking through the streets of Kanaya, which flourished as a stone-cutting industry from the Edo period to the Showa period, and then head to the Nokogiriyama Ropeway Station. Hinohara Village is the only village on land in Tokyo. Deep inside the village, on a ridge well over 700m above sea level, lies the old house "Kyu Kobayashi Family Residence". Built in the mid-Edo period (more than 320 years ago), this mountain house is literally an "old house in the sky". This tour, which takes you there by mountain monorail that goes straight up a super steep slope of nearly 45 degrees, is an extremely extraordinary experience that will leave a deep impression on your memory, both geographically and historically, as well as physically.
