1. On the morning of the first day (morning), a chartered microbus will pick you up at a designated hotel (or station/airport) in Fukuoka city. 2. We will send you to Kumamoto Castle by microbus from Fukuoka city. It is one of Japan's leading castles. It was voted as the number 1 "impregnable castle" in a recent TV show. 3. From Kumamoto to Mount Aso. If you are lucky, you can go to the crater of Aso. At Kusasenri, you can experience light horseback riding. Akaushi beef is famous for lunch in Aso (meals are at your own expense). 4. At the end of the first day, you will be dropped off from Aso to your hotel in Takachiho. *In Takachiho, the local tourist association holds a Kagura performance from 20:00. You can see it for 1,000 yen per person, so if you don't mind, please make a reservation and pay by yourself. 5. On the morning of the second day, you will be picked up from your hotel in Takachiho. Classic course: Takachiho Gorge - Takachiho Shrine - Amano Yasugawara (if you have time - Takachiho Railway). *It is also possible to arrange a local guide from the Takachiho Tourist Association (optional). 6. After enjoying Takachiho, depart for Fukuoka around 16:00. It takes about 3.5 hours with a break at a roadside station famous for its melons.
