Using the traditional craft "Ise Katagami", which has been passed down in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture for over 1000 years, the cloth is stencil-dyed. "Ise Katagami" is made by a craftsman called a stencil carver who carves intricate patterns and designs on durable Japanese paper with a carving knife.
