I can't be kicked. I can't be kicked." Mr. Komichi Horikawa, a high school brother of Takeda Sokaku, positions martial arts in this way. The goal is not to defeat the opponent, as in the case of match-style martial arts and martial arts, but to enhance one's spirituality. This is the ideal, peaceful philosophy of martial arts.
