This tour will take care of your children while you enjoy a BBQ from morning until late afternoon, and you can experience rummaging around in the nearby river and searching for stag and rhinoceros beetle larvae in the forest. Parents start getting ready from 10am and enjoy a leisurely BBQ until noon, while children join after 12pm and stay until 1.30pm. After 1.30pm, you can go to the nearby Kuroyu Onsen and Yumori no Sato hot springs (admission fee included). Or you can rent an electric bicycle for free and take a tour around Jindaiji Temple. Children can be looked after from 10am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 4pm. AM: 2 hours of rummaging through the tributaries, midstream, and rivers of the Tama River 1.5 hours of BBQ lunch on the way PM: 1 hour of forest larvae hunting and 2 hours of rummaging through the tributaries and upper reaches of the Tama River This BBQ is a plan with the usual MENU ♪ We will prepare a set of vegetables, meat, yakisoba, etc. (ingredients change depending on the season), ingredients for the number of people, tools, chairs, tables, etc., so you can participate empty-handed. Grilled sweet potato set, rental of foolish boots, river scavenging experience tour, with hot spring (adults only) A warm outdoor nature experience tour held in winter! Making sweet potatoes + river scavenging + hot spring tour (adults only, children are charged, 1 hour ticket) First, make sweet potatoes in a special pot, grill Beni Haruka on low heat for 3 hours, then combine with foolish boots and go on a river scavenging tour. Targets for capture are fish: Oikawa, Motsugo, Moroko, Chichibu, Yoshinobori, Ukigori, 3 types of loach, black killifish, carp crab: Mitten crab After the crayfish schedule, there is an explanation session on living creatures, and there are also effects of global warming and invasive species. In a small conference room, you will experience the basic techniques of calligraphy under the guidance of an instructor. You will finish by creating 1-2 pieces of work that you can display at home. After the calligraphy experience, you will walk around Oyama Shopping Street, which is 1.2 km long and has over 300 shops and restaurants, and have lunch. Transfer to the train and bus to the Akatsuka area. You will visit the Tokyo Great Buddha, Akatsuka Fudo Waterfall, Akatsuka Botanical Garden, Itabashi Museum of Art, Akatsuka Castle Ruins, and Itabashi Local Museum.
This was probably the best workshop we attended during our Japan trip! Very good Calligraphy explanations, the instructor is highly professional, and really takes time to demonstrate in great detail! So the Calligraphy class in itself it was already an amazing experience. However, afterwards you go to see the Tokyo Great Buddha (and museums & gardens) and can experience Japanese culture with interesting conversations and information about the surrounding area. Both instructors are very kind, very passionate and just pleasant people in general :)
