Takeno Town is located just 10 minutes by train from Kinosaki Onsen. Along the coast of Takeno-cho, Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture, there is not only the beautiful color of the sea, but also a variety of geology and topography from the formation of the Sea of Japan to the present day. In addition, Takeno-cho still has a townscape of houses made of roasted cedar boards that have been passed down since ancient times, and the townscape still has the atmosphere of a small Japanese fishing port. In Takeno, a quiet town where old Japanese houses still remain, you can experience a variety of activities that allow you to experience the Japanese countryside. Just looking at Takeno Beach is relaxing. Required time: 90 minutes - Fishing experience The sea of Takeno is home to many fish such as gobies. Why not experience the richness of nature through a casual fishing experience using a bamboo rod? Duration: 60 minutes / Fishing boat cruising A private cruise on a fishing boat. Charter a fisherman's boat and tour around the strangely shaped rocks on the coast, which is also designated as a geopark! Required time: 60 minutes - Takeno Overseas Cleaning Experience The Takeno sea is home to a lot of floating debris. Join local people in cleaning up floating debris and help protect the ocean. Duration: 90 minutes / Geocanoe (not available in winter) Adventure touring around the Takeno area by sea kayak. Feel the heartbeat of the earth using your five senses! Time required: 120 minutes
