Plan description

This is an experiential tour where you will experience calligraphy, one of Japan's proud artistic cultures, and create two works of art. Each participant will receive a piece of work created by our instructor. Original and not a print. The type to display on your desk comes with a frame as shown in the photo. Larger types are available only in kind. You will practice how to hold a brush, basic vertical lines, horizontal lines, sweeps, dots, etc., and we will create two works of art that you can display in your home. One will be a large piece to hang on the wall, and one will be a small piece to hang on a desk or table. The instructor is a master calligrapher and professional calligrapher certified by the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, and the host of the calligraphy class. Please join us on this experiential tour where you can experience calligraphy, create your own work, and even get professional work. The venue will be a rental conference room near Higashi Ginza Station.

Learn the basics of calligraphy.

You can learn basic writing techniques such as posture, how to hold a brush, and lines, dots, and splashes.

We will create pieces to display in your home.

We will produce two works that can be displayed in your home. One will be a large piece to hang on the wall, and one will be a small piece to display on the desk.

One professionally produced original work will be given to each participant.

Calligraphy works are difficult to obtain and expensive. All participants will receive one piece of work by the instructor, who is also a professional calligrapher.
