Created with “bonds stronger than iron”! Many ironworks are active in Komatsu City, including suppliers of Komatsu Manufacturing Co., Ltd., where you can play with blocks. The sheet metal processing industry that bends and welds iron plates, the factories that plate and paint iron, and the steel wholesalers that provide materials to these ironworks play their respective roles, and ultimately Products such as construction machinery and sightseeing buses are released into the world. By working together with companies of all sizes, we can create great things. In this program, in order to experience the expansion of manufacturing using iron, we will introduce products using iron parts created through collaboration between local companies that are bonded by ``bonds stronger than iron'' through manufacturing using ``steel.'' You can participate in serious block play.

In this serious block play workshop, in addition to Komatsu Koki, a local steel material shop, Komatsu Denki Kagaku Kogyo, which specializes in plating, T・T・O, which paints iron, and Iwamoto, who specializes in welding. An ironworks company that makes parts for construction machinery is participating, and you can play with blocks using a variety of professional-grade parts. Why not combine them well to create a pita ⚪︎-like piece!

You can see the basics of iron processing

Komatsu Koki's Steel Materials Center, which will be the venue for the event, customizes and sells steel materials by cutting and drilling holes in response to requests from iron manufacturers. Therefore, as part of this program, you will be able to tour the Steel Materials Center and learn about basic steel processing using Komatsu Koki's efforts as an example.

You can learn about the expansion of the iron industry that is active in Komatsu.

GEMBA Monozukuri Expo is the only experience program where multiple ironworkers, each with their own strengths, work together. This program was created because Komatsu has a wide variety of jobs related to iron. Please feel the expansion of the work involved in manufacturing large and heavy iron products.
