Kamon Joinery Crafts is a joinery shop that produces furniture, fittings, and other "joinery" made by combining wood and wood without using joining tools such as nails. In this program, you will be able to experience Kumiko work under the guidance of President Kamon, who has honed his skills as a joiner for over 50 years. Please come and experience for yourself how the beautiful intricate patterns of Kumiko work are made and how difficult Kumiko work is.

In this program, you can experience making Kumiko crafts that can be used as interior goods or coasters. Kumiko work is so precisely made that even when you look at the finished product, you can't tell how it fits together. Please come and experience the mechanism and the amazing skill of the craftsmen. A showroom lined with beautiful joinery

On the second floor of the workshop, there is a showroom lined with fittings made by Kamon Joinery Crafts. There are many types of joinery such as beautiful Kumiko-work shoji and transoms that only skilled craftsmen can create, and even slit lighting that is registered as an Ishikawa brand certified product. Please see, touch and enjoy the charm and beauty of joinery.

Experience the depth of traditional crafts

Kamon Joinery Crafts launched a crowdfunding campaign in May of this year with the desire to pass on the Japanese housing culture of ``sashimono''. The president, Mr. Susumu Kamon, has a passionate desire to prevent the extinction of Japanese traditional crafts. In addition to experiencing and observing, please listen to Mr. Kamon's thoughts and deepen your insight into traditional crafts.
