Plan description

Approximately 150 years ago, 3,000 warriors of the Shonai clan gave up their swords and traded their hoes for cultivation of virgin land, and the Matsugaoka Cultivated Land was born. He also contributed to the development of Japan's silk industry. Five three-story sericulture rooms with Joshu Shimamura-style tiled roofs still exist on the vast site where you can feel the spirit of the samurai. A night tour (Japanese/English) of Matsugaoka at night, where you can learn about the history of the cultivation area with a limited-time night illumination guide, which is usually not open to the public. You can also experience wearing a kimono as an option, and you can take photos inside the atmospheric cultivation area.
