★What is a "route bus trip"? It is a great value trip that includes a ticket for express buses, route buses, etc., and tickets for use of various facilities. There will be no tour conductor or guide accompanying you, and you will have to travel on your own.The Mt. Aso eruption alert level was raised to 2 on January 23, 2024, and as a result, it is no longer possible to tour the Mt. Aso crater. The reopening date is undecided. Please note that Aso Sanjo Terminal is open as usual. We have souvenirs and Kumamon goods that can only be purchased there, so please stop by. Directly from the center of Kumamoto to Aso! This plan will take you to Kusasenri, a scenic spot that you must visit if you are visiting Aso, and the Aso Nakadake Crater, one of the world's largest calderas. Kusasenri is a great location where you can see Mt. Nakadake emitting smoke. We will also have a ``Akaushi hamburger'' at a restaurant that offers a spectacular view of Kusasenri. *The fare for the Mt. Aso crater tour shuttle is not included. Time schedule
Departing from Kumamoto Station 8:00 Depart from Kumamoto Sakuramachi Bus Terminal 8:48 Take the Yamabiko bus bound for Oita from Aso Kumamoto Airport to Aso Station. Arrive at Aso Station at 9:36.
Move to Aso Sanjo Terminal Take the Aso Crater Line departing from Aso Station at 9:36 a.m. to Aso Sanjo Terminal and enjoy approximately 1 hour of free time.
Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum After arriving in front of Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum on the crater line departing from Aso Sanjo Terminal at 11:30 (11:35 from April onwards), please enjoy lunch of "Akaushi hamburger" at "douce Nucca". After lunch, you have free time until bus time! Enjoy the spectacular view of Aso to the fullest!
Approximately 2 hours of free time in front of Aso Station Depart from Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum at 14:15 Arrive at Aso Station at 14:43 Enjoy eating while walking around Monzenmachi Shopping Street
