"Kobo Seikan" has a workshop, shop, and cafe, and you can enjoy a tour of the Yamanaka lacquerware production site, experience turning the wood, and enjoy shopping, lacquerware, and cafes and sweets. In this course, we will visit the studio (I will explain) ~ Making a vase ~ Lacquerware experience at a cafe (with a drink) Here, the lacquerware craftsmen are working every day. In this experience, you can observe it up close and learn about lacquerware production. The staff will give you easy-to-understand instructions. Next, you will make your own original flower vase using the wood turning wheel and plane that the craftsmen actually use. You can experience full-fledged wood sawing through making single flower vase. Most of the shapes are carved by yourself, so it's a little bit difficult, but it's fun! ! ! A friendly wood craftsman will teach you carefully, so you can make it yourself until the final completion. You will be satisfied. It is fun. After that, you can enjoy drinks made with lacquerware and sweets at the cafe. Please relax and enjoy the lacquerware experience. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the staff or craftsmen. Lacquerware workshops usually have a division of labor system, so it is not possible to see various processes in one place. However, here at Kobo Seikan, you can now see several processes of turning the wood and lacquering. It is a very rare workshop where you can see the work of craftsmen up close. The staff will also explain each process, so you can learn about lacquerware in an easy-to-understand manner.

A friendly wood craftsman will teach you carefully, and you can experience full-scale wood sawing. In this plan, instead of making a vessel that requires advanced skills, you will make your own original vase from scratch. It is an experience that gives you a high sense of satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment because you do most of the process of sawing the bare wood yourself. Of course, we take safety into consideration, so don't worry. Even small children can experience it. *Children up to 4th grade must be accompanied by a guardian. You can take home the finished work.

After experiencing wood turning on a potter's wheel, you can enjoy it in a lacquerware cup. (The plan includes a cup of cafe drink) Please feel the comfort of using wooden bowls. Although not included in the plan, you can also enjoy sweets with lacquerware. Please take a look.
