In this program you will learn the basics of playing the koto. You can also experience the history of the koto and play simple songs.The koto is a versatile instrument with a long history dating back to the 7th century.Since the end of the 20th century, it has come to be performed in all genres of music from Japanese folk songs to jazz, rock, J-pop, and hip-hop.

The koto is a traditional musical instrument that resembles a harp lying on its side. It has thirteen strings played with prosthetic nails attached to the three fingers of the right hand. We will guide you until you can play simple songs.
